FULL COUPLING

ASME B16.11-2016 (Revision of ASME B16.11-2011)

Is a standardized pipe fitting, revised from ASME B16.11-2011, designed to securely join two pipes of the same diameter together. This coupling ensures a reliable and tight connection, effectively sealing the pipes and preventing any leakage.

(1) The socket’s wall thickness around its periphery must meet or exceed the listed values on average. However, in localized areas, minimum values are permissible.

(2)The “C. J. E” reducer is designed to match the larger pipe size, while “D” is intended for the smaller pipe size. All other dimensions of the reducer are adjusted to correspond with their respective sizes..

Dimension B is minimum length of perfect Thread. Dimension B represents the minimum length of an impeccable thread. The total length of the functional thread, comprising B and threads with fully formed roots and crests, must meet or exceed the L2 requirement (effective length of external thread) prescribed by the American National Standard for pipe threads (ANSI / ASME B1.20.1).
